This early nineteenth century clock has a break-arch hood, surmounted by a single brass finial, enclosing a thirteen inch white circular dial with Roman numerals, surrounded by its original heavy cast brass bezel, and silvered sight ring, it is signed "Anderson, St. Andrews", and has subsidiary second and date dials with fine cut blued hands, it has an eight day movement striking the time on the hour and the passing of the half hour, the trunk with a shaped arched door when opened reveals the most beautifully painted pendulum, flanked either side by fluted quarter columns, the whole clock has stunning fruitwood inlay work, standing on bracket feet, William Anderson was born 1790 and died 1867, his place of business is listed as South Street, St Andrews, just serviced in our workshop, we can provide a running video if required, the dimensions are 46cms wide 22cms deep standing proudly at 210cms tall, I am happy to deliver locally for a small fee, I am happy to deliver locally for a small fee or arrange a courier nationally
