A fine and very good quality antique English Edwardian upholstered mahogany rail-back chaise longue, dating from circa 1901–1910. This elegant piece showcases the craftsmanship and refined proportions typical of the Edwardian era and would make a striking statement in any large interior. The solid mahogany frame features an attractive upswept scroll arm to the left-hand side, beautifully carved with floral detailing, complemented by a reeded frame and straight back-rail. The front fascia mirrors the back design, adding balance and symmetry. The chaise stands on turned mahogany legs, retaining its original ceramic castors, currently upholstered in a cream cotton fabric with silk highlights the chaise is in need of re-upholstery, we have our own fabric shop and are happy to help, offering the perfect opportunity to tailor it to your own interior scheme. The seat comfortably accommodates up to three people, making it both decorative and practical. This chaise longue would look superb in a living room, dining room, hallway, or reception space, and would complement both traditional and eclectic interiors.
