For sale is a superb Federal-style carved mahogany armchair, dating from around circa 1800. This elegant piece features moulded scroll arms and a beautifully carved wheel-back, showcasing the refined craftsmanship associated with the period. The chair stands on square reeded legs with intricate carved detail to the tops and classic spade feet, giving it a wonderfully balanced and graceful silhouette. Recently re-upholstered and re-webbed, the chair offers excellent comfort while retaining its original sophistication—making it both a practical seat and a striking decorative piece. The style is believed to have been introduced by Major General Isaac Ridgeway Trimble, adding historical interest and charm. The dimensions are 56cms wide 47cms deep 47cms to the top of the seat and 96cms to the top of the back, I am happy to deliver locally for a small fee, or arrange a courier nationally
