This is a stunning flatback Staffordshire figurine, typically figures of this size were created in the 1875 to 1890 period, It is a male hunter figure in front of a stump, he has his gun and his loyal dog with him, He's wearing a kilt, boots and jacket. "HIGHLANDER" is written on the base, the colours are rich and vibrant, with no chips or damage, a spill vase was originally intended to hold tapers or "spills", thin wooden sticks or tightly curled strands of paper used to transfer flame from an existing fire to another combustible material such as a candle, or tobacco in a smoking pipe, a stunning large piece standing 32cms tall, I am happy to deliver locally for a small fee, or arrange a courier nationally
