These are a fantastic vintage pair of original Mezzotint paintings pencil signed lower right, printed on thick wove paper with beautiful colour circa 1900, a fine, original example of the art created by the British artist, C. Fitzgerald and of the turn of the century English mezzotint from the Victorian era, the woven paper is a really heavy medium and the quality of the image is amazing, with rich bold colours, one depicts a fisherman in a small boast with the most amazing trees and sky, the other is a courting couple dancing by the riverbank with a castle in the background against the most fabulous trees and sky, British mezzotints from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries are technically demanding as most were printed in colours employing multiple plates, the dimensions are 52cms by 40cms, they are framed and mounted under glass, I am happy to deliver locally for a small fee, or arrange a courier nationally
